At Food Culture, we bring personalised dining experiences directly to you — whether in the comfort of your home, a private venue, or a remote outdoor setting. From intimate gatherings to unforgettable weddings, our team creates extraordinary banquets wherever your celebration takes place.

What to Expect

Here’s what you can expect when you book a banquet with Food Culture:

Tailored Menus: We cater to most dietary needs and will work with you to create a menu that reflects your tastes and preferences.
Complete Dining Setup: We supply crockery, cutlery, napkins, table décor, teacups, and all necessary cookware to create a fully immersive dining experience.
Professional Preparation: Most food preparation is completed offsite in our commercial kitchen. We require access to a kitchen for final heating, plating, and some cooking. For larger or remote events, we can establish a marquee kitchen onsite.
Event Style Options: Depending on your event, we can offer canapés to begin, followed by a sit-down banquet.
Family-Style Banquets: Our banquets are designed for sharing, with 8–12 dishes served down the table in a relaxed, family-style format, celebrating the rich flavours of Yunnan with Tasmanian produce.
Tea Pairing Experience: Our banquets are complemented by rare and fascinating teas collected from Yunnan. Alongside your meal, we offer storytelling and commentary on the history, traditions, and craft of tea. (Please note: we do not supply alcohol or glassware.)
Timing and Service: We typically require up to two hours for setup, two hours for the banquet service, and one hour for pack down and clean up.
Immersive Hospitality: Throughout the evening, we engage guests with stories of Yunnan’s rich culinary heritage, traditions, and culture — bringing meaning and connection to each dish and tea presented.
